Kids age 7 and up, as well as adults, are welcome to study.
Jeff is currently teaching lessons at Two Toronto locations: Dufferin and Dupont (1407 Dufferin Street) and The Beaches (70 Silver Birch Avenue.)
Also, Jeff still offers online lessons, for those students who have decided they enjoy the convenience and/or safety of remote learning.
Jeff’s students have access to high-quality digital sheet music, video demonstrations, and detailed summaries of their lesson content. The curriculum is standardized, yet flexible and customizable, depending on the student’s specific goals and interests.
Beginners will learn basic drum set anatomy, standard drum notation, basic music theory, drum rudiments, and simple (or simplified) rock and pop songs.
Intermediate students will learn more challenging drum covers, and also about more specialized styles, such as Funk, Reggae, R&B, Metal, and Jazz.
Advanced students will learn how to optimize their technique and set-up for their own needs, and execute advanced beats and fills with nuance, precision, and musicality.
All students will learn how to make the most of their practice time to achieve their goals!

Jeff Butterfield brings 30 years drumming experience and 20+ years teaching experience and is dedicated to delivering instruction that inspires confidence, courage and competence at all levels of learning. Skilled at supporting students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in their pursuit of musical goals—both in person and online, Jeff is a much sought after instructor, studio and gig drummer in Toronto, Canada.
